The weather was again
against us this year which caused a delayed start
and a loss of time that we never clawed back. The daylight was lost early
which meant bowl offs for both semis and the final, but there was no loss
of enjoyment and it must be said that it was again a great tournament.
THANKS to Kelton and Chris Scott, and Simon Lunn for again organising the
days events. A massive THANK YOU to all teams that took part and made
it yet another great day. Bloxwich CC again broke the Clubs bar takings
record and raised more money than ever.
Every team made the effort and dressed for the occasion, this years prize
for best dressed team went to BCC Ladies who entered two teams,
Sister Act 1 and 2, fully attired in nuns habits carrying crosses and even
blessing the wicket before the start !!

Tom Revitts entourage, The Marriage Guidance Counsellors, again travelled
far and wide to join us, with great effort going into their costumes, complete
with a very hairy bride.

Terry had been very busy with his John Bull printing set producing the
Jenkos Juniors caps and shirts.

The Colts team, Cant Hit Wont Hit,

together with Taffys
Mob looked the
part in their professionally made polo tops.

The Chumps looked very yellow, even poaching Azza with the promise of
free beer, but to no avail.

The dads very much looked the part as Pirates of the Can O Beer carrying
on their Minehead pillage.

The Snooker Team looked off the set of Magnum PI.

FTL did most definitely not look like Porn stars !!

Norfolk n Chance really didnt.

We were joined for the
first time this
year by the footballers from New Deal who really got into the swing and
enjoyed themselves.

The bowl off final was a repeat of 2003 but this time around The Chumps
lost out to the best team of the day, Taffys Mob. Not bad considering
all six Chumps are bowlers and the pro missed to lose the game !!

The Women's section raised
funds for the club by organising a sponsored haircut
for Club Secratary, Chris Scott. After an initial light trim, the rest of the barnett
was shorn as more and more money was pledged, before Chris's long locks were
shaven to the bone.

Again there are so many people to thank for their support on the day,
EVERYONE who took part or helped in some way deserves a pat on the
back
.THANK YOU to Joan and Mike Scott, Kerry and Steve for the
all day grill and evening curry, Alan Fletcher of KIRBYWOOD MEATS
who supplied the bacon and Marie Jenkinson the evening chilli.
Thanks again Joan for the Tombola stall, which again sold out,
and thanks for the raffled Sir Gary Sobers shirt, both of which raised
a fortune for Bloxwich CC. Thanks to Dave Salmon for providing the
music again all day and night, and thanks to Carol and John behind
the bar for their support in helping Bloxwich CC again smash the bar
takings record.
Thank you all for buying the programme which doubled as a raffle ticket,
the prizes for which were donated by THE SADDLERS ARMS (Lower Farm),
JKH EMBROIDERY (at the Hollybush who does all our shirts), OAK SPORTS
(Hall Green, Birmingham who supplies Bloxwich CC Ladies), E-ZEE CLEAN
(Pub, club, office and hotel cleaners), T.P. GLAZING SERVICES (Wozzas dad),
G.J.C. PLUMBING AND HEATING, ABSTRACT DIRECT DISCOS and
THE GULSHAN RESTAURANT (Bloxwich CCs favourite Curry House).
All sponsors are thanked for their generosity.
Heres looking forward to next year !!
