Another great CricketForce weekend was had by all at Bloxwich C.C.

The first arrivals turned up at 9.00a.m.and were soon refreshed with a
cup of tea and bacon butty.

The plan this year was a "General Tidy Up" which included the outfield
getting a cut and repairs to one of our mobile nets whose poles got bent
in some high winds over the winter!

The tractor and gangs had an overhaul but we were masively impressed
that it started first time after its frst winter in our new garage.

The benches came out of their winter hibernation and were given a
good rub down and clean.

The second mobile net had a new net fitted (more difficult than it seems!)
and the sight screens had a lick of paint. The roller had an overhaul and
again we were impressed that it started first time after its winter in the new garage.

The tea ladies took a break from feeding and watering the grafters while
the youngsters took great delight in finding rubbish for the skip.

We ended with the kids taking great delight in tractor rides.

This is more fun than tidying up !!!.jpg (68593 bytes)

But all our efforts came to fruition when we had a square and outfield
cut and rolled, all ready for our first game. The tractor, gangs and roller
are in working order for the long hard season ahead. Our mobile nets
are repaired and ready for use, and the sightscreens are white...again!

Thanks everyone for their help. No names have been mentioned because
all of you deserve the thanks of the rest.......
